| Titanium dioxide pigments for paint application |
| The division is engaged in development of new products, which meet requirement from paint industry, based on proprietary technology of formation of fine particles and surface treatment. Responding to recent growing concern for environmental protection, we are aggressively developing titanium dioxide pigment, which is suitable for water-based paints. Furthermore, titanium dioxide pigments with high weatherability for the purpose of protection of substrate and extremely easy dispersability for effective cost saving in a paint manufacturing process are also being developed. Through these developments, ISK will supply unique and innovatively functional titanium dioxide pigments to meet diversifying demands of paint industry. |

| By utilizing experienced technologies of surface treatment and particle size control, the division is developing titanium dioxide pigment with various required properties for printing inks. New grades for eco-friendly inks are being studied from the viewpoint of environmental protection. |
| Titanium dioxide pigments for plastic application |
| Plastic materials we use in our daily life are made of various kinds of plastics ranging from general-purpose plastics to super engineering plastics, therefore, requirements for titanium dioxide pigments are different for different kinds of plastics. In addition to development of pigments which are suitable for various plastics, totally unique and epoch-making grades with easy-dispersion, higher weatherability, higher fading resistance, higher filling performance and other properties at the same time are under development by integrating ISK's versatile expertise. |
| Titanium dioxide pigments for other applications |
| ISK has utilized our proprietary technologies to
develop titanium dioxide pigments, which are suitable for both neutral
and acidic decorative papers. Furthermore, we have developed inorganic yellow pigments (Titanium Yellow) that can be used for general purposes. The pigments exhibit various colors ranging from lemon to reddish yellow. The most striking characteristics of Titanium Yellow are excellent durability and hiding power, which organic pigments can never achieve. |

We are also engaged in developing so-called "next generation grade" such as white titanium dioxide pigment with innovatively new functions and with unique designs in order to meet a wide variety of customers' needs. In addition, this division actively carries out technical services providing customer-oriented information. |
