Visualizing the Power of LUSHADE® BLACK (Ultra-Low Reflectance Structural Black Pigment) – Prism Experiment Video Now Available!
This video demonstrates the performance of LUSHADE® BLACK, an ultra-low-reflectance structural black pigment, through a prism-based experiment.
In the experiment, a laser pointer was directed at three different prisms, and the way the light reflected off a wallpapered surface was observed to compare the optical reflection characteristics of each surface:
- Uncoated (back): The light is directly reflected, and the laser point appears clearly on the wall.
- Standard black coating (center): Some light is absorbed by the coated surface, but partial reflection onto the wall is still visible.
- LUSHADE® BLACK (front): The light is absorbed by the coated surface, with no visible reflection on the wall.
These results clearly show that LUSHADE® BLACK absorbs more light than standard black coatings, demonstrating superior anti-reflective properties. This makes it highly effective for use in optical fields where reducing unwanted reflections is essential.
