Achieving Virtually 100% Renewable Electricity at the Technology Research Center, Hyogo-Ono (TREC)
Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Hiroshi Okubo) has achieved virtually 100% renewable electricity usage at its Technology Research Center, Hyogo-Ono (TREC), which opened in December 2025. This was achieved through a combination of on-site solar power generation and the procurement of non-fossil certificates to offset all purchased electricity consumption.
Guided by our corporate purpose of “To continue contributing to better living environments through chemical technologies,” the ISK Group is actively promoting energy conservation initiatives and expanding the use of renewable energy to help realize a sustainable society.
The ISK Group has established environmental targets of reducing CO₂ emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 30% from fiscal 2019 levels by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.The ISK Group has established environmental targets to achieve a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030 from fiscal 2019 levels and carbon neutrality by 2050.
This achievement of virtually 100% renewable electricity is part of our efforts toward decarbonization.
