Ishihara Sangyo establishes Biodiversity Conservation Policy
Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; Representative Director and President: Hiroshi Okubo; hereinafter “the Company”) is pleased to announce the establishment of the “Ishihara Sangyo Biodiversity Conservation Policy.” Going forward, based on this policy, the Company will further accelerate its biodiversity conservation initiatives, including the promotion of “30by30” and activities at “ISK Forest,” contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
■ISK Policy on Biodiversity Conservation
ISK recognizes that the conservation of biodiversity is essential to our business activities. Guided by our purpose of ” To continue contributing to better living environments through chemical technologies,” we strive to coexist with nature and promote sustainable corporate activities. We will work to conserve and restore biodiversity and pass on a healthy ecosystem to the next generation.
1.Consider the conservation of biodiversity throughout the entire life cycle of our products.
2. Strive to reduce environmental impact (by managing and reducing wastewater, air emissions exhaust, waste, greenhouse gases, and chemical substances).
3. Strive to develop and provide products and technologies that contribute to the conservation and restoration of biodiversity.
4. Comply with relevant laws and regulations based on the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, and properly manage the use of genetic resources.
5. Value cooperation and collaboration with stakeholders, including local communities and government agencies.
6. Continue to promote education and awareness-raising activities regarding biodiversity conservation throughout the organization.
■Specific Initiatives
Promotion of 30by30
30by30 is an international goal to effectively conserve at least 30% of land and sea as healthy ecosystems by 2030. The Company has joined the “30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity,” consisting of voluntary companies, local governments, and organizations, and will promote initiatives toward the conservation of natural capital.

ISK Forest Program
Starting in April 2026, we have commenced forest development activities at “ISK Forest” in Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture. In cooperation with local communities and government agencies, we will work to maintain and improve biodiversity through forest conservation activities.
